REALTOR® Training Requirements:
New and Existing Members
Fair Housing Training
**New Requirement Began January 1st, 2025
Cycle 8: January 1st 2025 - December 31st 2027
This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training.
For New Members:
- Must be completed within 60 days of a new member's join date.
- Training must be a minimum of 2 hours of instructional time.
- Training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
- Free training is available through NAR, new members must create their account before accessing the training at this link:

- NAR offers a certification course that satisfies the Fair Housing training requirement, members may purchase at this link:
- At Home With Diversity® (AHWD) Certification Course
- Continuing Education Courses towards an agent's license renewal may satisfy the Fair Housing Training Requirement, but MUST be approved by the local Association.
- Please note - it is the member's responsibility to provide the certificate of completion to their local association if the Fair Housing training is completed through a CE course.
- At this time, WHAR only accepts the CE courses listed below, offered through the CE Shop:

- Consequences for failure to complete the Fair Housing training on time include suspension of all Board/Association-provided membership rights, privileges and services.

For Existing Members:
- REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing training of not less than 2 hours of instructional time within three-year cycles.
- Training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

Background on the changes made to COE requirements beginning January 2022 is HERE. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
A new three-year cycle began January 1, 2025. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2027.
