Grievance Committee

WHAR Grievance Committee

To uphold the vision that the business of real estate is a profession that requires the highest and best measures of professional responsibility using the Code of Ethics as a guide. We are committed to the concept of service to the public as an article of faith in professionalism.

With the Code of Ethics as the guide, we carefully and fairly review all complaints received by WHAR. With a group conscience, we decide whether one of the Articles of the Code may have been violated and make a decision to move an alleged violation forward to the Professional Standards Committee or dismiss the complaint.

Meetings are held on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Share the responsibilities of the committee so no member is overburdened
  • Commit to attend as many meetings as possible so as to have a forum
  •  Make a conscious effort to keep updated on the Code of Ethics and all other ethical practices of our industry
  • Attend annual PSAC Training
  • Review the complaint before hand so that committee members are familiar with the issues and decisions can be made in a timely manner
  • Raise the confidence level of the public regarding the Real Estate industry as one that is ethical, trustworthy and fair.
