WHAR Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affair Committee is responsible for monitoring and tracking legislation and government related issues on the municipal, state and federal levels which have a potential affect on the real estate business and private property rights. 


Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month @ 12pm.


Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately presenting the legislative agenda to each individual/group that we meet with and to honestly and openly solicit their opinions and positions on Real Estate related issues.
  • Awareness of local issues that impact the Real Estate industry and property owners.
  • Making suggestions and recommendations to the WHAR Board of Directors in the area of Government Affairs policy in response to current local developments.
  • Actively pursuing dialogue with other community groups such as Chambers of Commerce and local Business Associations.
